This 5 minute experimental radio drama explores life from the perspective of a fly. Often unnoticed the fly buzzes from place to place. The idea is to represent the reality of the world we live in, it is fast paced and frantic.  Whether or not we choose to except it, life will always move on. The audio piece should be listened to on headphones for a more immersive experience.

Scriptwriter

I wrote this children’s fable in my first year of University that tells the story of a lonely jungle elephant. The work was inspired by the books of Rudyard Kipling and is a short animated film that deals with the themes of friendship and acceptance. Although mainly aimed at children, the solely visual and no-dialogue script is intended to communicate the moral of the story to a global audience.

This was created for my A-Level Media Studies Final Major Project. I was in charge of all elements of producing this film, from the production to the editing and creating two accompanying posters. The shots in my advert convey some of the classic film noir elements; such as the venetian blinds, half lit faces, the doppelgänger and of course the femme fatale. I believe the sub genre has had an immense impact on how all films/ tv shows are crafted; in most films you can always spot a hint of noir! I really loved working on this project, I particularly enjoyed the editing process where I experimented with finding music that fit with the movement of the piece and gave it that 50s authenticity when the style first occurred.
